Στη διαδικτυακή συνεδρίαση της Ένωσης Ποινικολόγων και Μαχόμενων Δικηγόρων τέθηκε το θέμα των αλλαγών του Ποινικού Κώδικα και Κώδικα Ποινικής Δικονομίας, και διατυπώθηκαν διάφορες προτάσεις οι οποίες συμφωνηθηκε να υποβληθούν επισήμως από την Ένωση στον Πρόεδρο της Διαρκούς Επιτροπής Παρακολούθησης ΠΚ-ΚΠΔ.
Μετά από πολλές δεκαετίες και συνεδριάσεις των νομοπαρασκευαστικών επιτροπών που είχαν συσταθεί για την επεξεργασία του νέου Ποινικού Κώδικα και Κώδικα Ποινικής Δικονομίας και αφού είχε ολοκληρωθεί η διαδικασία της διαβούλευσης των τελικών κειμένων, είναι κοινή διαπίστωση ότι στο σύνολό του ο νομικός κόσμος αλλά και η κοινωνία είναι ώριμες και απαιτούν πλέον την εφαρμογή των σύγχρονων αυτών Κωδίκων.
Στο κεντρικό δελτίο του ΑΝΤ1 με τον Νίκο Χατζηνικολάου μίλησε ο ποινικολόγος Θεόδωρος Μαντάς σχετικά με την προφυλάκιση του Γιάννου Παπαντωνίου και της συζύγου του Σταυρούλας Κουράκου.
Economic crime is a new form of crime, which is part of the broader category of crimes against property of the Criminal Code and is usually determined by the object of the crime as “the pursuit and achievement of large, unbounded economic benefit with correspondingly large damage to many people”.
